Vallea Lumina Whistler Night Walk
The forest floor crunches softly behind your feet as you begin the night walk through the forest. Eyes are drawn to the lights that dance like fireflies, while ears listen for animal and bird calls of the forest. Vallea Lumina is an immersive experience that illuminates the beautiful forest floor and canopy over the course of a 1.5 kilometer walking route. The spectacle was created by Montreal-based Moment Factory, and Whistler’s Adventure Group.
This is the first Lumina installment in British Columbia. It runs daily in summer from July until October . The night walk experience begins at sundown and walks take place every twenty minutes. The trail takes approximately one hour to complete, and has some uphill portions. Wear comfy shoes and layers as it can get cool once the sun sets in the mountains. A complimentary shuttle is provided to transport visitors between Whistler Village and Cougar Mountain.

Vallea Lumina Whistler Tips
Don’t forget your camera, and be sure to have it set for night mode and long exposure photography. The lack of light will make photography quite challenging. Consider taking a few photos, then putting your camera away to be in the moment and enjoy the show as you wind your way through the forest. If you’re visiting Whistler with kids, this attraction is very kid-friendly in every season.
