Summer in the Canadian Rockies is all about getting back to nature and enjoying time in the great outdoors. After hiking, biking or forest bathing in Banff National Park, it’s equally luscious to kick back and enjoy some colorful fun in the summer sun. This year, the Fairmont Banff Springs has brought the party to its Castle in the Rockies. And it’s complete with eye-popping Barbiecore, craft cocktails and parties by both indoor and outdoor pools.

It's party time in the Canadian Rockies at Fairmont Banff Springs Banffchella, complete with Barbiecore, craft cocktails and pool parties.

Celebrating summer at Fairmont Banff Springs Banffchella

Nestled in Banff National Park, Fairmont Banff Springs’ summer-long poolside activation, Banffchella, returned in July 2023.

The colorful and fun party atmosphere has transformed the historic resort’s indoor and outdoor pool areas into a vibrant landscape. Complete with experiential art, painted indoor arches, lawn games, and a resident DJ spinning tropical tunes.

For guests looking for something hip to sip and savour during Fairmont Banff Springs Banffchella, Canada’s Castle in the Rockies is offering something new this year.

Guests can belly up to 13 Below, a terrace bar serving up house made ice-cream and signature cocktails. Lick a cone or sip a glass alongside a million dollar mountain view of the Bow Valley and Mt Rundle.

Featured at 13 Below is Fairmont Banff Springs’ new locally-made and delicious Wildlife Rundle Gin and Tonic. This new craft-cocktail-in-a-can is crafted by Fairmont Regional Mixologist and Diageo World Class Canada Top 3 Bartender, Sam Clark.

The pre-mixed summer libation boasts Rundle Bar’s award-winning signature blue gin accompanied with a zesty yuzu and lime twist.

In addition to the ice cream and cocktail fun, there are live DJ sessions. Get your groove on from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM every Friday and Saturday until the end of summer.

Access is complimentary for guests of Fairmont Banff Springs.
