Let’s talk delicates, shall we? How do you keep your underwear, swimsuits, baby and fitness clothes clean on the road? It’s not always easy, especially without ready access to laundry facilities or wash and fold services. I’m a huge minimalist packing advocate, and that’s only possible when you’re committed to some self service laundry work during your trip. I’ve tweaked my systems over the years, but am very happy to report that I’ve found a fabulous new addition to my travelling laundry service repertoire! It’s the Allurette washer bag.
The Allurette Washer Bag Review
Keeps Hands Dry
It can only take from 30 seconds to 3 minutes to wash any item of clothing. You won’t be slaving away on the old washboard by a stream. In fact, you’ll barely get your hands dirty, as the clothing items are washed within the washer bag itself. So it’s as easy on your hands as it is on your clothes.
Easy on Clothes
The Allurette’s flexible internal washboard (made up of little hearts!) gently scrub your necessaries without damaging delicate fibre or materials. That includes swimsuits, underwear tops and bottoms, and baby clothes It provides more scrub resistance and less wear and tear than vigorous hand washing, Much less wringing out, which is the worst thing you can do to tender undies and swimsuits, or any clothing for that matter.
Keep to Your Schedule
No need to use an expensive laundry delivery service. Wash and go as you travel, whenever and wherever it suits you. If you’re stationary, you can wash and hang items for the day while you’re out and about exploring the urban jungle. If you’re on the move, wash items at night and tie onto your backpack if items haven’t completely dried overnight. There’s no shame in having clean laundry, right?
Fits in Your Purse
The Allurette washer has a small air release valve so you can compress it into a tiny square that easily fits in your purse or carry on bag. Or in my case, into my backpack for our upcoming alpine hiking adventure. After all, there’s always laundry. Always.
