Lonely Planet has just released a brand new city adventures eBook for family-friendly city trip inspiration. The 25 City Adventures for Families is a free eBook, now available for download from Lonely Planet Kids.

Cities can be a challenge: expensive, chaotic and often cultural overload for small people. But they are also exciting, fascinating and above all, fun places to explore as a family – as long as you know how. And that’s where the new, free digital guide comes in.

Lonely Planet’s family travel experts – including yours truly – have shared their tips and recommendations for 25 cities around the globe – including some less obvious choices for family travel, such as Bangkok in Thailand, and Beijing in China.

My well-travelled colleagues and I have shared the tricks of the trade, as travellers who take our kids on urban adventures on a regular basis. 25 City Adventures for Families contains advice on the best places to go when the kids need a break, which museums are particularly good for children, how you can save money – and more. The guide also contains fun facts and activities to inspire your little ones.
