Ah, lovely summer! The holidays are in full swing, with road trips, visits to grandma’s house, and days spent poolside and at the beach.
In my latest article for Travel Mamas, I go back in time nine years, to the gorgeous summer day that we lost sight of our son on a crowded beach. While it’s a scary story – every parent’s nightmare – it had a happy ending, thank goodness.
The experience taught us a few things about safety in public places, the importance of communication, and of having a contingency plan. I’m happy to share those safety tips to prevent losing your child in a public place. It’s not about being paranoid or afraid, it’s about being prepared.
