What defines Canada? If you said winter, hockey and national parks, you’d be on the right track.

That’s why the latest announcement from the Canadian government is so exciting for Canadians, visitors and young people. From June 20 to September 2, 2025, enjoy free or discounted admission to some of the country’s most iconic places with the Canada Strong Pass. The new pass lets you explore the richness of the country from coast to coast to coast — from iconic museums to stunning nature to scenic railroads.

The Canada Strong Pass

The Canada Strong Pass is not a physical pass that you need to purchase, sign up for, or collect. All you need to do is visit any participating Parks Canada site, museum, gallery, or travel on VIA Rail to benefit from free admissions or discounts.

Canadians and visitors can enjoy free or discounted admission as they make Canada their travel destination this summer, from June 20 to September 2, 2025 (inclusively). The Canada Strong Pass celebrates what unites us as Canadians – our shared experiences, natural wonders, and cultural richness.

The Pass is about making it easier for everyone—especially youth and families—to explore Canada and celebrate what makes this country extraordinary.

What does the Canada Strong Pass include?

Parks Canada: Free admission for all visitors to national parks, national historic sites, and national marine conservation areas administered by Parks Canada and a 25% discount on camping fees.
